A Guide to Your 1st Dry Cleaning & Laundry Pickup
Placing your 1st order with Hamper
Scheduling a laundry pickup with Hamper is as easy as counting to 3! Once you've created your account, select "Schedule Now" and you'll be taken to the scheduling page. You'll be asked to select your service type, and you can choose dry cleaning, wash and fold laundry, or both!
Next, confirm the service address -- you can select your home address or office address. You can then add a card on file with us, and choose your preferred pickup and delivery day/time. Lastly, if you have any special instructions for cleaning or pickup/delivery instructions, you can enter them here. That's it! Hit Schedule and your dry cleaning and laundry order has successfully scheduled! You should receive a confirmation email shortly after scheduling your order.
Preparing for your laundry pickup
During your scheduled pickup time, you will receive a text message with the driver's ETA once he has marked "On The Way" on his/her end. On this text message there will also be a tracking link where you can view the driver's progress during the pickup/delivery!
If you have both dry cleaning and wash & fold laundry, we request that you have the 2 separated so that we can ensure that they are processed accordingly! If you plan on leaving your garments at the front door or with concierge, just let us know in the special instructions so the driver knows where to pickup from!
I don't have any Hamper bags yet. What can I do?
Your Hamper runner will have extra Hamper bags with him/her when they come pickup! For your 1st order, feel free to put your laundry in another bag or in disposable bags (i.e., disposable trash bags) and we'll return a Hamper bag with your name on it upon delivery!
If you need extra dry cleaning or laundry bags, just let us know!
Do I need to separate my whites and colors?
No, we'll separate it for you! We will separate your laundry for the washing process as well as for the drying process to ensure all of your laundry is processed according to the recommended cleaning instructions! If you have any special requirements such as bleach, free and clear detergent, fabric softener, etc. just let us know in the instructions when scheduling and we'll make sure we take care of that for you!
How long does it take?
Our default turnaround time for laundry and dry cleaning is 2 days. We offer next day express delivery for wash and fold laundry for an additional fee of $14.99, so if you want to get your laundry back next day just let us know in the special instructions!
Why is there a delivery fee?
We have a $4.99 delivery fee that includes both the pickup and delivery, and it actually goes straight to your Hamper runner! All of our drivers are full-time employees, and we pass on the delivery fee directly to them to ensure that they're reasonably compensated while making sure we keep prices as affordable as possible! This also helps ensure that your experience with us is exceptional, and that we're going above and beyond your expectations! What to expect during delivery?
At the time of delivery, you will once again receive an ETA text message when your Hamper runner is on the way. If you've given us delivery instructions, we will follow those accordingly (i.e. deliver to the front door, leave with concierge, etc.) otherwise we will deliver to you in person!
Dry cleaning will be returned hanging inside our 2-in-1 Hamper bag. Your laundry will be returned neatly folded and stacked, packaged drawer-ready ready to be put away!
